Today’s
post is going to be all about inspiration and spread a little Wednesday
encouragement. I find that having inspiration from all sorts of different
sources not only keeps me motivated, but also keeps me busy, feeling energized,
and never bored.
Inspiration can come from many sources
and it’s going to be different for every person. Personally, some of my
favorite sources of inspiration are Pinterest, the great outdoors, lots of scripture,
old cookbooks, friends, family, history, YouTube (actually pretty much every
social media), and my camera, just to name a few. Like I said, every person is
unique and is going to find inspiration from many different sources.
I LOVE feeling inspired (hence the blog
post about it :) ) Motivation to do something is a really good feeling, and in
my opinion it can lead to a healthier lifestyle, depending on the inspiration
you’re finding. It can help you discover who you are or the person you want to
be.
When you find that inspiration that
gets you going, make sure it matches up with your values. Be invested, but
don’t let it consume your life unless it’s something that’s worth the cause, or
worth caring about. Don’t let your inspiration let you become more obsessed
with worldly things than your faith. Don’t let your inspiration lead to an
unhealthy lifestyle, be careful of comparison.
Let your inspiration be intentional and powerful. Let your
inspiration feed the good in you. And let your inspiration grow, and grow as a
person in your inspiration. Then maybe, just maybe, you’ll become a source of
inspiration yourself, and you’ll become the type of person who you’ve worked so
hard to be, and spread inspiration like wildfire.
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If
anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is
in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in
possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is
passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides
forever."
1 John
2:15-17
